During this one hour session we will learn what the menopause is and why it needs to be a conversation at work, the hormonal changes that take place during the menopause and how these feed into the variety of symptoms. We will also cover how your organisation can ensure it is menopause friendly.
During this one hour session we will learn what the menopause is including details of the hormonal changes and the myriad of symptoms that can occur as a result. We will also discuss the ways in which women can help mitigate the effects of estrogen loss with lifestyle changes such as exercise, nutrition and strategies to help manage their mental wellbeing.
This training includes an explanation of the menopause, the hormonal changes that take place and the numerous symptoms that can arise as a result. This session is designed to be very interactive and participants are encouraged to ask all the questions they have been keen to ask, but were too worried or uncomfortable to ask in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
This is a more holistic wellbeing offering for women in the menopause. It is also suitable for those who are premenopausal and want to learn more as well as those who have been through the menopause and are keen to invest in their ‘health pension’. This course typically comprises six one hour sessions which are interactive and encourage women to share their experiences. Participants are encouraged to set themselves goals around the wellbeing topics covered eg. exercise, nutrition and supporting their mental wellbeing. When participants finish the course, not only are they well informed on how best to take care of their health through the menopause, they will also have a plan of action and a support cohort of colleagues. This training works most effectively with a group of no more than 10 delegates.
One member of staff is nominated to be the menopause champion within the organisation; it can be more than one member of staff depending on the size of your organisation. During the training, I will draw upon all my experience to upskill the Menopause Champions to be the first port of call in the organisation for all things menopause and so that they can help troubleshoot, signpost and coach fellow menopausal employees.
