What is My Joyful Menopause Plan?

My Joyful Menopause Plan is designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of what to expect during menopause and how to navigate this often tumultuous period with grace and strength.

By the end of our session, we’ll focus on the specific areas you’d most like to improve, and I’ll offer guidance on how to get started. This plan is tailored to address issues such as hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep disturbances, which are common during menopause.

Additionally, we will delve into lifestyle changes, nutritional guidance, and stress management techniques that can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life during this time. You will leave our session armed with actionable strategies to help you take charge of your health and wellbeing.

Pre-Consultation Questionnaire


Before our session, you’ll complete a brief form that gives me a snapshot of your overall wellbeing and the specific areas you find challenging. This will allow me to fully prepare for our initial 90-minute consultation.

The 90-Minute Consultation

After the consultation, I’ll provide you with a detailed My Joyful Menopause Plan, summarising the key points we discussed. This plan will include practical steps for improving your health and wellbeing, as well as references to helpful resources or sign posting to other health specialists.

Follow-Up Session

Six to twelve weeks later, we will have a 30-minute follow-up session—either in person or online—where we will review your progress, address any challenges, and adjust the plan as needed to ensure you continue moving forward...

For clients who would find a more regular mentoring session beneficial, I offer a package of 4 x 45-minute sessions to provide regular check-ins, support, and adjustments as you progress on your journey to better health during menopause.

The perimenopause typically starts when a woman is in her mid to late 40s, however for some it can start in her mid to late 30s.

For some it can start even earlier, in rare cases when a female is in her teens.

Start by talking to someone you feel comfortable discussing details of how you are feeling.

 

When we talk to others about how we are feeling it can help bring about a greater understanding of what we are finding challenging.

 

It is often a relief to share our worries and gain support from someone we trust.

 

Start by making one or two small changes  - too many changes all at once will make you feel even more overwhelmed.

Together we will look at where you are now and how you are feeling. We will pinpoint small or significant adjustments that can improve your physical and mental wellbeing.

 

It is not medical treatment, but it is an opportunity to learn how impactful lifestyles changes can be on our physical and mental wellbeing.  We will look at your personal situation and suggest tweaks and tools to help you feel more confident in managing this stage of life.

Doctors diagnose and treat symptoms whilst mentoring through My Joyful Menopause Support Plan involves looking at your wellbeing holistically, providing education, support and giving strategies to help manage symptoms.

 

It is not a replacement for medical care, it supports and compliments it.

Anyone who is experiencing perimenopausal/ menopausal symptoms.

- If you are in perimenopause or post menopause and are feeling confused, overwhelmed or unsupported (or all of the above).

- You are looking to support your health with lifestyle approaches either with or without medical care.

Before your 90 minute mentoring session, you will complete a detailed questionnaire asking for details around your symptoms and other health challenges, your lifestyle including what you eat and when, how much you move throughout the week and your stress levels/ mental wellbeing. In the questionnaire you will also pick three goals you would like to focus on during your mentoring session.

  • Before the mentoring session I will go through your questionnaire and may come back with further questions/ ask for more information.
  • The 90 minute mentoring session either takes place in person or online depending on your location and preference.
  • During the mentoring session we will discuss the information in your questionnaire including your symptoms and concerns and pinpoint where you can make small or significant adjustments which can improve your physical and mental wellbeing.
  • We will also look at your goals and identify ways to work towards them.
  • After the mentoring session I will write your ‘Joyful Menopause Support Plan’ and send it to you.
  • It will include a summary of the mentoring session, plus further reading or resources and recommendations.
  • We will have a 45 minute follow up meeting 4-8 weeks after the mentoring session to see how you are getting on.
  • Additional support packages are available for those who would like further support.

Absolutely, even if you are on HRT it is still very important for your wellbeing to be eating nourishing food, moving regularly and be able to manage stress at a reasonable level.

 

Mentoring works very well along side HRT and looks at your wellbeing in a holistic way.
